About me

179803_101287373283900_3465413_nRaine put her photo up, so I will, too.

I watch the dramas for those scenes that make my heart “thud!” and I gasp. The gasping drives my family nuts, but I can’t help it.

He LOVES her!

That’s his mother?!

Is it legal for him to look that good in a turtleneck?

He saw you kiss him!

She LOVES him!

Don’t open that doooooooooooooor!

Awwwww, it’s a necklace made of bread.

Stories will always be recycled. Premises will always stretch our credulity. Second Leads will almost always get stomped on. But somewhere in each drama are those unique ideas, phrases, or moments of true emotion – good and bad – that get me right in the HERE, that keep me coming back for more.  That and incredibly beautiful men.

Welcome to my site! Enjoy!

Please let me know: What keeps you watching?

Its ability to pick me up after a rubbish day.
How it gives me something to look forward to.
When I can forget about my worries and focus my mind on the story, characters in the drama.
When it manages to befuddle my brain (in a good intellectual way) or when it leaves me gaping at its awesomeness. This is what keeps me stuck in addiction.

What keeps me watching? It’s the “look” that sees deeper, it’s those gestures, small touches that somehow I can no longer find in American shows. It’s connections that run deeper than fleeting moments. And…it’s Dramabeans, your blog, Problematic of the Unproblematic…these blogs with people that keep me going back.

Hi Jomo, I tried to send you an email. If you got it, can you respond to jreidy at the usual lycos email? Sorry I didn’t know how else to contact you, dear beanie friend.

Hi Jomo! I see you saw my shout out to you in my Sandglass post. Hope it’s okay that I dropped your name & linked to your blog. See you around!

Hey Jomo.. So this is a slight stab in the dark, but were you the one who ordered the Ahjumma mug? Coz I ordered one too, and mine came out with the design off-center. I’m trying to get teechip to do something about it, and wanted to see if you had the same issue, if you were the other customer. I didn’t promote it very vigorously, so there was only 1 other customer besides myself so far. I thought it might be you, since you were pretty keen on the idea 🙂 Let me know?

Hi Jomo! Ever since your post about Shakespeare and Kill Me Heal Me, I’ve been a fan. (And well do I know the “you’re into Asian shows?” conversation.) Even though you haven’t posted lately, I’ve got you on my list of awesome bloggers because of your whole corpus. I just shared your site in a post where I nominated you for a Liebster: http://www.koreandrama.today/site-news/liebster-love/. You’ve been blogging long enough that you can feel free to roll your eyes at it–I won’t be insulted in the least. But I wanted to tell a few more readers about your blog, especially since I’m mildly KMHM obsessed and I love your Shakespeare/Jung/K-drama approach. I hope you and your family are well. Best, Odessa
